Perspective Corrections are helpful in post re-compositioning.

I try to train myself to do it in camera and it is probably the strongest thought going in my head while I am shooting.

On a runway, it is hard to control, since there is such a short time to acually capture the scene.

Your gear has to be up to the challenge. I use the Canon EOS 1D MKII for days like this with the Canon EF 70-200 2.8L.

Otherwise, I love to use prime lenses.

Structures are where perspective tools work more. The grid overlay helps to understand where the perspective tapers on and off.

You have to watch for the height of the original structure as well when using this tool.
